Blackhawk Street-H Hu02 Rft

The Blackhawk Street-H HU02 RFT is an ultra-high-performance run-flat tyre engineered for sport coupes and high-performance sedans equipped with run-flat monitoring systems, delivering exceptional cornering grip and emergency mobility capability. The RFT (run-flat) technology allows safe continued driving at reduced speeds and distances following a puncture without immediate tyre replacement, eliminating the need to carry a spare tyre and reducing vehicle weight. Like its standard HU02 counterpart, the run-flat variant features an asymmetric tread pattern with a continuous centre rib for stability and a wide outer shoulder optimized for aggressive cornering grip and lateral load handling. The variable pitch tread design provides a smooth, quiet ride whilst the advanced tread compound delivers superior cornering response and exceptional handling precision during performance driving. A silica-based rubber compound lowers rolling resistance whilst simultaneously boosting wet traction and reducing heat buildup during sustained high-speed driving and emergency mobility scenarios. Wide inner grooves efficiently drain water from the tread, reducing hydroplaning risk on wet roads and improving braking distances in moisture conditions. The large outer tread block puts more rubber on the road to boost traction on dry pavement. A dedicated rim protector guards both the tyre and wheel from curbing damage. The HU02 RFT features reinforced sidewall construction to support vehicle weight during puncture-induced emergency mobility, requiring compatible run-flat monitoring systems in the vehicle. Not suitable for winter use below 45°F. Backed by a 40,000-mile limited tread life warranty, the HU02 RFT targets performance-oriented drivers valuing emergency mobility and immediate-response capability.

Best for:

  • Sport coupe and performance sedan owners with run-flat equipped vehicles
  • Drivers prioritising emergency mobility and run-flat safety capability
  • Warm and temperate climates requiring year-round warm-weather performance
  • High-performance drivers unwilling to carry spare tyres or experience extended roadside changes

Not intended for:

  • Vehicles without run-flat monitoring or support systems
  • Cold climates, moderate to severe winter weather, or sustained temperatures below 45°F
  • Economy-focused drivers or those prioritising tyre longevity over performance
  • Severe winter regions without seasonal tyre swaps

Key Features
  • Run-Flat Emergency Mobility Technology:

    • Advantage: Reinforced sidewall construction and self-supporting internal structure allow safe vehicle operation following puncture at reduced speeds and limited distance
    • Benefit: Eliminates roadside tyre changes in hazardous traffic conditions, allows safe egress to service facility or home, reduces spare tyre weight burden and frees vehicle cargo space
  • Asymmetric Tread Pattern with Wide Outer Shoulder:

    • Advantage: The outer shoulder features aggressive block design and reinforced structure for high-load cornering forces even with puncture-induced weight redistribution
    • Benefit: Exceptional grip during hard cornering and evasive maneuvers, improved body control during run-flat emergency mobility, confident high-speed handling without loss of precision
  • Large Outer Tread for Dry Traction:

    • Advantage: Increased rubber on the outer surface and circumferential zones maximize contact patch stability during aggressive acceleration and braking
    • Benefit: Improved launch traction, shorter braking distances on dry pavement, predictable steering response under sustained cornering loads at high speeds
  • Wide Inner Grooves for Wet Braking and Hydroplaning Resistance:

    • Advantage: Efficient water evacuation channels rapidly drain standing water from the contact patch, critical during emergency run-flat conditions
    • Benefit: Reduced aquaplaning risk during emergency mobility scenarios, improved wet braking distance and modulation, safer handling on rain-slicked roads
  • Variable Pitch Tread Design for Smooth, Quiet Ride:

    • Advantage: Randomized block heights and edge spacing disrupt vibration transmission, maintaining comfort during performance driving and emergency mobility
    • Benefit: Refined cabin acoustics during aggressive driving, reduced road noise at sustained high speeds, enhanced passenger comfort despite run-flat performance focus
  • Silica-Based Rubber Compound with Heat-Resistant Properties:

    • Advantage: Advanced formulation maintains grip and flexibility across wide temperature ranges whilst managing heat generated during emergency run-flat driving
    • Benefit: Exceptional wet and dry grip consistency, heat resistance supporting emergency mobility demands, reduced rolling resistance improving efficiency during extended roadside driving
